The Paraíso do Sol is exceptional in many respects:
A hotel management school is integrated into the operations of the hotel, where local youth and adults receive a solid basis in tourism professions in a two-year training program that includes such positions as receptionist, cook/waiter, gardener, room cleaning and security personnel. Working in the hotel operations makes it possible for the students to get some initial experience and thus acts as a starting point for their professional futures. Intensive language instruction in English and German, mathematics, information technology, guest care and organized entertainment are also integrated into the varied schedule. Through this professional training, the hotel is training the very staff it will need itself for continued operation.
Furthermore, the Paraíso do Sol is the ideal vacation world for both small and “big” children: On the hotel grounds there is a circus school where those interested can come into contact with balancing, juggling, theater and acrobatics – organized entertainment of another kind in the circus where the public joins in. The erection of a permanent circus tent on the hotel grounds is planned for evening events.
Athletic guests can choose between riding, wind- or kite-surfing. The hotel has its own kite-surfing school with internationally certified instructors and rental equipment. Whether it’s shopping tours, boat or buggy tours on the idyllic beach, the entertainment offered in and around Parajuru leaves no wish unfulfilled. Depending on your interests, there are excursions available into the vegetation-rich interior or trips to lively large and small cities in which the typical Brazilian flair and the joie de vivre are palpable.
Single bungalows with a bathtub, and double-room bungalows with two rooms, a double bed, shower and toilet.
Both types of accommodation have air conditioning, refrigerators, televisions with satellite reception, mosquito nets, generous verandas each with two hammocks, large glass fronts that can open and optimal wind and dust protection by means of intermediate ceilings. Value was placed on top quality workmanship and design to keep maintenance costs as low as possible. Currently, supplying electricity through the use of wind energy is being considered in order to further reduce running costs.
Marvelous beaches full of palm trees, sand dunes and freshwater lagoons skirt the almost 560 km-long coast of Ceará. The youth of the capital city Fortaleza spend idle weekends here. In the villages on the coast, lacemakers and embroiderers still pursue their traditional handicrafts.
Parajuru is located in the federal state of “Ceará”
Around 6,500,000 people live in an area measuring 145,693 km2. Livestock breeding and cotton-growing form the main industries of the district. In addition to bananas, coconut trees, beans and corn, this is the home of the cashew tree. The nuts also known as cashews are an important export item for the region. Ceará was the first federal state of Brazil to abolish slavery, which was not that pronounced here anyway. The population today consists of “morenos” and “mulattoes” (descendents of whites and blacks) and “caboclos” (descendents of whites and Indians).
